Student Leadership Council
FCA's Student Leadership Council is an elite group of FCA students! These students are the leadership face of our school to the community as well as leaders within the school who are involved in various decision making tasks, such as planning and organizing our school Spirit Week. These students meet every week and each meeting is centered around 4 key purposes: Leadership, Community, Service, and Discipleship. These students meet many criteria in order to be a part of the group, including academic excellence and striving to be amazing role models to fellow students within the school. As one of their key purposes, these students participate in many community service projects within their community.
Just a few of the community projects these students have participated in during the last year:
· Angel Tree~bought presents for local children in need
· Drop and Shop~coordinated games for the children
· Red River Regional Medical Center~assisted with brightening up the facility by planting inviting flowers and plants
· Fannin Pregnancy Care Center~clean up and paint for redecoration of new building
· Powder Creek Playground~helped with the children’s games at the festival
In addition to the numerous community events, SLC also demonstrates leadership and discipleship by assisting in Chapel at Forerunner Christian Academy. They have also coordinated a Spirit Week for FCA as well as conducted a skit for the students at Forerunner. This skit explained the importance of attending Church as opposed to choosing something else fun to do instead.
If you would like FCA’s Student Leadership Council to assist in one of your community service events, please contact the school at 903-227-9094.
